The UK’s widest reform of its pension systems in 100 years continues to be rolled out.

For the first time employers have a duty to enrol employees automatically in a pension scheme- with compulsory employer contributions. This workshop has been devised by our pension experts to help organisations meet their statutory obligations.

Be prepared – check this list. Unless you can answer ‘YES’ to each of these questions, your current pension arrangements will not meet the new requirements.

  • Do you have a pension scheme?
  • Can any employee aged 16-74 join if they wish to?
  • Do you automatically enrol all employees aged 22 to State-Pension age into a pension scheme within three months of joining the organisation?
  • Do you make at least 3% employer contributions?
  • Does it meet the requirements of either the Pensions Acts 2008 and / or 2011?
  • 2008 Pensions Act
  • Do you define pensionable pay as all salary, bonus, commission, overtime and statutory payments?
  • 2011 Pensions Act
  • Do you define pensionable pay as at least basic pay?
  • Do you run regular exercises to auto re-enrol anyone who is not in the scheme?
  • Can your systems process refunds and generate re-enrolment lists?
