Half Day Essential Update

Currently in the UK approximately 3.6 million employees receive benefits which employers need to record and return. The current process of administrating benefits in kind for the work force is very time consuming, costly and adds to an already busy payroll environment. The current method involves extensive record keeping and is prone to risk around the quality of reporting and possible duplication.

However, legislation and changes made by HMRC in the 2015/16 tax year has meant that voluntary payrolling of benefits is now in many cases a far easier and more efficient method for completing the process and in some cases will remove the need for the P11d altogether. Now as we move towards the second full year of this change, more and more companies are looking at bringing this model into their business.

Businesses that have already made the change on the whole have been very positive about the new process and given HMRC are looking for employer’s to register by the end of December to ensure tax codes and administration are in place for the start of the tax year, this half day course comes at an ideal time to review and understand the new process.

This course covers:

  • Assessing, registering and administrating the new process
  • Managing, reporting and understanding the methods of delivering benefits in kind through the payroll

This half day course will ensure employers are fully up to date with the process.
